La Pineta – 2025 Overview
Dear friends,
It has been another exciting, rich, and demanding year for all of us at Tenuta la Pineta. We’ve had our share of satisfactions, challenges, and surprises in a period that has been lively yet critical for our sector.
Starting with the awards, we are proud to report that the Italian Sommelier Association has included us in its Top 101 Tuscan Wines. At the same time, the performance of our wines at the Decanter World Wine Awards deserves a special mention, with Bronzante and Tripinio both reaching and surpassing the 90-point mark. Other international competitions where we stood out include the Sommeliers Choice Awards in the United States and the London Wine Competition. As always, our wines were very well received by the leading national wine guides: you will find them in the new editions of Vitae, Veronelli, Eccellenza di Toscana, Decanto, and—making their debut this year—also in Guida Bio and Vini d’Italia by Gambero Rosso. It is the result of work that began long ago and continues to gain recognition over the years.
On the commercial front, we are equally pleased with the progress made and the many contacts developed starting from BuyWine and Vinitaly. It is reassuring to see that even in times of crisis for the wine sector, boutique wineries still maintain their niche, both in Italy and abroad.
As for the vintage, we can now breathe a sigh of relief. The 2025 season did not start with the best expectations, given the fickle and unpredictable summer we experienced. And yet, a strong end of August and a calm beginning of September led to a slow, controlled, and balanced ripening. A smooth and serene harvest, with slightly lower alcohol levels (which is actually positive, considering the evolution of contemporary taste), but with remarkable elegance and varietal purity. New wines are notoriously difficult to taste, but we may well be looking at a vintage that will surprise us over time.
On the hospitality side, a huge thank-you goes to all of you. Here, it’s undeniable that we experienced a record-breaking season. Both in local demand and tourism, we enjoyed a truly memorable period, beginning with Easter and Cantine Aperte in May, and still lively as we approach the Christmas season.
We would therefore like to take this opportunity to extend our warmest thanks and best wishes to all the friends of our Estate. In 2026, we will work hard to surprise you even more!
